Behind the lens…

I am a wife, pediatric nurse, photographer, and my most favorite title: a mama to two littles. Photography became a part of my journey after having our daughter, Juniper Louise. I fell in love with capturing our everyday life together doing the most mundane things like watering the flowers, planting seeds in the garden, chalk on the patio, and baking the kitchen.

Being able to freeze these sweet, fleeting moments that come and go painfully too fast has become SO important to me. If motherhood has taught me anything, it's that babies don't keep.

Now, two and a half years later being a mama to a toddler and a newborn, I realize it is not just babies that don’t keep. It's us as mothers, too. How it changes you to your core. How each season of motherhood reveals a new version of ourselves. Our smile lines sink in a little deeper, and our youthfulness begins to fade. But the one thing that remains steady no matter the age, is the unconditional love we have for our babies. My hope is that these photographs elicit a sense of nostalgia in our hearts, and capture our motherhood journey just as they are.

Most of my days consist of…

Chasing around my 2 year old daughter while simultaneously baby wearing my son, making meals, and cleaning up messes over and over again. It's the best kind of chaos. In my free time, you can find me piddling around in my backyard gardening, taking walks with my babies, or getting into some home project with my husband.

I have a sentimental attachment to having REAL tangible photos around the house. Some of my fondest memories include reminiscing over old photo albums with my grandma in her living room. I am a big believer in printing your photos, not just having iPhone photos to scroll. So do just that, print your photos! You will thank yourself later!
